About Lilly
A quiet girl, but reaches your soul through her eyes.
Lilly has come through a pretty traumatic recent past and is learning to find her feet again here in the shelter. As a result, she can be worried and unsure in new environments, when meeting new people, with touch and loud noises.
She is a sensitive, gentle girl looking for a calm, patient, caring and understanding family (older teens please).
Lilly must be allowed indoors and included in the family. She is incredibly clean in her living environment and loves nothing more than snuggling up quietly on her bed with a big fluffy doona.
Patience will be the key to building trust with Lilly - that and roast chicken!! It will likely take Lilly some time to settle into her new home and new experiences and people should be introduced slowly. Start with short walks in quiet areas. She is very happy to exist in the presence of other dogs and may be suited to sharing her new home with a calm, respectful dog of similar size (a meet and greet prior to adoption will be essential).
Lilly is only a medium-sized dog but has a little weight to lose for her health and well-being at almost 40kg. A good quality diet and gentle consistent exercise will be key. She responds well to gentle praise and positive reinforcement.
If you think she might be the perfect fit for your amazing, kind and understanding family, please fill out an adoption application today!
**We will be pre-screening applicants before offering a meet & greet. Only suitable applicants from the online applications will be contacted for a meet & greet
