About Kov
Boys just wanna have fun!
This boy loves the play time with his fellow pack members. Kov loves all the running, play bitting and wrestling. With, or without toys, he will have fun.
Kov is ready for his new home. He loves his peeps and greets you with leaps and lots of tail happiness. You can see the pure joy he has to see you in his glowing eyes. He has even started doing play zoomies with his family. This greeting makes my heart sing!
Prior to coming into care, this litter of 7 German Shepherd pups had had no human touch, no exposure and no training. They were literally just in a backyard together with no direct human contact. These dogs were not mistreated, rather their shyness was due to the unknown. To me this is a perfect clean slate to build up a dog and develop a true relationship.
Kov is a star pupil, showing he is ready for the next part of his journey in his new home. He is enjoying the social life running around with 6 other dogs. He is very dog social when meeting new dogs on walks and will need continued socialising to continue to grow. Kov is a follower, so will need great human and dog role models and the right environment to ensure he becomes a balanced dog. He is happy in the crate and getting used to house rules. He is familiar with the resident dog savvy kid in his foster home being in his space and is not worried by him. Kov loves the company of his family and is super affectionate, enjoying his grooming routine and cuddles.
Kov has started doing social walks, at markets and shopping malls. He is comfortable to walk through these situations but not excited to meet new people. Kov will try to avoid or run away from new people. This is not anxiety as he is a very stable minded dog. He is just unsure of new people. This is the fear we need his new family to continue to work on. As he still needs development, he will need someone who is willing and has the time to put into him. His new owner will need the skills and experience, or will be willing to work closely with a recommended trainer, to ensure Kov’s development is positive and heads in the right direction.
We are looking for an experienced or dedicated family that want to develop a pup to his full potential. This process takes time and consistency for them to grow into calm, stable adults. It is the most rewarding journey to be a part of, and an important trust building and bonding time between dog and family. Kov’s new home home should have another stable dog and preferably no kids. Most importantly he will need adults that will show leadership and clear guidance to a pup who needs it. We are not looking for a unit or busy city homes as it will not be appropriate for Kov.
If you feel you can offer this wonderfully handsome boy the home he needs then please complete a Dog Adoption Enquiry form on the Fetching Dogs website and include extra details of your experience and/or willingness to work with Kov.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
