About Roo
Here at GAP, we have a team of very special helper dogs that work with the greyhounds to get them ready for adoption.
This lovely boy is Roo!
Roo is our resident Kelpie X "energy boy". He is 2yrs of age. He absolutely loooooves to run! We are looking for a new home for Roo to start his next chapter in life after GAP, and we are hoping to find the perfect home for him.
Roo’s ideal new home would be with a person/s who lives an active lifestyle, he will love going for fun walks and running in the backyard playing fetch. Roo is a sensitive soul, he takes a bit of time to settle in and warm up to new people, but once he does, he’ll be your best bud!
We think that Roo may be happy to go to a home as an only dog, or with another dog. He has lived with a small family of dogs here at GAP, so he is used to having friends around. Roo loves to play, so a robust dog who can match his play style would be great too! We think it would be best if Roo didn’t go to a home with small dogs, cats, or other small pets, and it may best suit a home with children 10 years or older.
Roo might be a good fit for you. Please give us a ring on 57990166 and have a chat to our team to enquire or ask us any questions.
Adoption details
GAP is committed to ensuring that all of its greyhounds are adopted into homes that are well suited to the greyhound and the new owners. While GAP will always strive to achieve a perfect match from the outset, all adoptions are subject to a three-week trial period. This means that if the greyhound is not a good fit for the home, the greyhound can be returned to GAP for a full refund of the adoption fee during the trial period. Further, GAP provides a life time return policy, which means that any GAP greyhound can be returned to GAP any anytime during its life should the adopter not be able to keep it.
So if you are thinking about getting a pet dog, please consider giving one of our beautiful retired greyhounds a home.
