About Tigerlily
Hello, my name is Tigerlily and I am a sweet girl with a squeaky “meow”.
I am very easy to take care of and will not bother you if you work at home during the day or wake you up for food in the morning. I don’t need a lot of space, so I’ll be fine in an apartment or smaller home. I love playing and would really like you to play with me every day with a cat wand.
I am a little shy, so I might take a little longer to settle into my new home and trust my new humans. I like getting to know and trust my humans through lots of play. Once we have a little trust, you can start winning my love with food and treats. If anyone is willing to give me time and patience, I will reward you with my trust and friendship.
Tigerlily came to us from a cat hoarding situation and lacked socialization with humans. She had to learn to trust humans through play and treats. She is now at the stage where she loves her ears and under her chin being scratched and loves pats (so long as you show her your hand first). She can be held and smooched for short periods, and she is getting better and better at being held for longer periods.
She is also quite curious about her humans and is starting to come in the office when her humans work and come and talk to her humans in the morning, when they are in bed, but she is not disruptive and will not jump up on desks or beds yet.
Although she is being fostered with other cats right now and gets along with her foster brothers (not her foster sister though), initially, she would prefer being in a quiet, single pet household with one or two humans who will have the time to work with her and build up her trust and confidence. Or in a household with another confident friendly cat to show her the ropes and how to cat with humans. We feel that with more time, she will work up to being more confident and want to hang around her humans more.
Please reach out if you think Tigerlily could be your new forever cat!
