About Akira
Hello, my name is Akira. I am a beautiful 12 month old red kelpie cross border collie boy with loads of energy to burn!
I am a typical adolescent working dog who needs clear boundaries so I can learn to be the bestest boy. I need a family who understand and have experience with my breed and are dedicated to my ongoing training. I have learnt so much in care already and love my training sessions - I am very food motivated and foster mum says I am super smart!
I would love a home with lots of space to run around to keep my active body and mind busy! I loooove playing with my humans especially if it involves a ball or tug toy! I also love belly rubs and will happily chew on a long lasting chew or keep myself entertained with stuffed food toys for short periods when foster mum needs to go out.
I have been learning to walk nicely on lead and enjoy my walks with foster mum. I am learning that other dogs are none of my business and all four paws on the floor when saying hi :-) At night I sleep happily in my crate and I wait patiently for my food.
I get along well with my doggo foster brother and would love a well balanced older sibling who will keep me company and help grow my confidence. I'm not really a 'dog park' kinda dog and would prefer a home where we can go exploring away from the hustle and bustle.
I would love a family who will include me in their everyday lives and of course have an endless supply of toys! If I sound like the boy for you, please send in an application today! See details below ↓↓
