NOTE: You are unable to meet Boodie until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Boodie in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.


What I need in my new home:
• BREED EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE IS A MUST due to breed specific traits
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• To be allowed inside with my family
• Lots of love and attention
• I am a quiet, sweet & mature girl so a quiet & mature family/household is best for me
• I am a one owner/one dog kind of girl, I will be a very loyal companion & lifelong best mate for someone
• I LOVE water and would love to have my very own clam pool to laze around in as well as trips to the lake/river/beach
• I am NOT interested in being with or interacting with other dogs. I will try to avoid/ignore them but will retaliate if they get up in my face or react negatively to me. I ignore dogs in the yards next to me even if they are barking at me.

Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• No kids due to possible cattle dog tendencies of nipping, barking and rounding up.
• No other dogs - I don't mind passing them and saying hi when out and about but I have no desire to interact with them
• Cats or small animals due to possible cattle dog tendencies of nipping, barking and rounding up.


My best features:
• Gentle, well mannered, sweet natured & placid
• I can sit and shake with both paws
• Food motivated
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• I walk well on lead and only pull lightly, if even at all
• I LOVE the water and will splash about in my water bowl and swim in the basin/river

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I have displayed signs of food aggressive with foods that I class as high value. I am ok with people being in the same area and walking around me when I am eating but don't like you touching me or trying to take it away. With commitment, time & positive reinforcement we should be able to work on this
