About Mango
MEET MANGO!
Mango is approximately 2 years young. She is an all black short hair "house panther"!
For some sad silly reason, pure black cats are the hardest to rehome! They spend more time in rescue waiting for the right home to come along and find themselves being surrendered more often and Mango's story is no different, she has been waiting and waiting for over a year now to find her home!
Mango is a very very sweet, gentle natured, shy girl that is looking for a loving owner that has the time and love to give to her! She is a sensitive gal and has been in foster care for quite some time now and we would love nothing more than for Mango to find her very own home, she is the last of her 6 siblings to find her furever home!
Mango gets along well with other cats and would love to be a companion for another kitty that is in need of a friend! She spends most of her time with the other kitties, playing and cuddling. Whilst Mango will likely be scared and shy for the first couple of weeks, i can assure you she WILL settle in and show you her true self! This is why we have a trial in place to ensure the new home and Mango are given enough time to settle in and feel comfortable and decide if they are a perfect match.
Mango currently cuddles up to her foster carers in bed every evening and curls up on their laps on the couch! She is very affectionate and loving and if you give her time to bond, she will do the same to you! Mango is a super smoocher and loves rolling around on the carpet giving little chirps for pats, she has a sweet little meow and does talk for attention! Adopting a rescue kitty is so rewarding and cat lovers ballarat will be there for you to offer support and answer questions along the way.
A home with a young friendly cat that needs a companion would be ideal for Mango, alternatively you can adopt Mango alongside one of her foster siblings such as her foster sister who is cuddling her in the pics!
*Mango is an INDOOR ONLY kitty for life
*Mango comes with a 2 week in-home trial to ensure her new home is forever! This trial can be extended to 4 weeks where necessary.

Mango is a healthy young adult, she is currently eating Advance food and having dental biscuits and Greenies dental treats as a preventative.

Thank you for your interest in a rescue cat! They can make the most wonderful friends and family members.
Our rescue cats have varied histories and stories and as such they each require a different home environment, we ask prospective adopters a series of questions aimed at making the perfect match so please dont be offended when asked questions. We do not adopt to a first in first serve basis and only adopt to the most suitable home possible. If you are outside Ballarat we ask that you make time to have a 30 minute video-chat with us and the kitty you are interested in so we can get to know you a little better and you can see the kitty in its home environment before coming up to Ballarat to adopt, if you are local then we hold a meet and greet at the foster home of the kitty. We only offer video chats and meet and greets to the most suitable homes.
All of our cats at Cat Lovers Ballarat are rehomed as strictly INDOOR ONLY cats and we ask that all prospective adopters only apply if they are capable and comfortable with this.
Please have patience with us as we go through all applications and make our decisions to move onto phase 2 and offer meet and greets, this can take days and sometimes a week to go through, you will be contacted whether you are successful or not.
