About Alwyn
MEET ALWYN!
Alwyn is a gorgeous approximately 12 year old red burmese gentleman. Alwyn is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and ready for his furever home!
Alwyn is an awesome old cat! He has recently undergone dental surgery and had ALL of his teeth removed! He has made an excellent recovery and is adjusting well to life with gums (he can even eat small sized biscuits!)
Alwyn was surrendered to our rescue when his owner sadly got sick and could no longer care for him, he was a regretful sad surrender and had spent his entire life with his family. Alwyn has grown up with children, dogs and other cats and would settle well into most any home with his chill personality.
We are looking for a retirement home for this gentleman to spend his remaining years relaxing.
Alwyn like all burmese is very chatty & talks all the time if he can hear or see you. He loves snuggles, ear and face rubs.
Not worried about a dog being near him and loves children who want to give him love and cuddles. Easy to clip his claws, just lays on his back in your lap and let's you do it!
Alwyn would love to be able to sleep in his new humans bed under the blankets with you! He would be a purrfect companion for an older person but would also settle into any family environment as long as he was getting lots of love.
Alwyn is an indoor only cat!
Medical notes
Alwyn recently had dental surgery and had all of his teeth removed, he has made a full recovery.
He requires a premium quality senior diet like royal canin, hills or advance to keep him in excellent health for longer!

Thank you for your interest in a rescue cat! They can make the most wonderful friends and family members.
Our rescue cats have varied histories and stories and as such they each require a different home environment, we ask prospective adopters a series of questions aimed at making the perfect match so please dont be offended when asked questions. We do not adopt to a first in first serve basis and only adopt to the most suitable home possible. If you are outside Ballarat we ask that you make time to have a 30 minute video-chat with us and the kitty you are interested in so we can get to know you a little better and you can see the kitty in its home environment before coming up to Ballarat to adopt, if you are local then we hold a meet and greet at the foster home of the kitty. We only offer video chats and meet and greets to the most suitable homes.
All of our cats at Cat Lovers Ballarat are rehomed as strictly INDOOR ONLY cats and we ask that all prospective adopters only apply if they are capable and comfortable with this.
Please have patience with us as we go through all applications and make our decisions to move onto phase 2 and offer meet and greets, this can take days and sometimes a week to go through, you will be contacted whether you are successful or not.
