About Hermione
MEET HERMIONE!
Hermione is approximately 1 year young (just recently celebrated her 1 year). She is a gorgeous silver tabby, desexed, microchipped, vaccinated x2 and up to date with her parasite prevention. Check out the 2 videos of Hermione being her smoochy self, this is her usual behaviour with the people she trusts and just a peak of what you can expect if you choose to give her a chance!
Hermie found her way to our rescue when she was found living in on somebody's' property with her mum and litter mates! She was only 12 weeks old when found and unfortunately all kittens were suffering from cat flu. Thankfully, all have been treated and recovered, Hermione has been rehabilitated and is ready to find her special home. Hermie has been patiently waiting and we are so keen to find her the home she deserves.
Hermione is looking for a patient, kind, understanding and quieter home where she will be allowed to take as much time as she needs to come out of her shell and feel safe again (may be a week or 3!). She spent the first 12 weeks of her life living wild without human interaction and as such, she is shy and easily spooked, that being said she has come a really long way! Hermione is VERY sweet and affectionate, she is a snuggle bug! She loves to sleep on the bed with us every night, follows me around the house when im going about my daily routine and curls up on our lap when we're on the couch watching tv. Once you earn Hermies trust, she will reward you with endless unconditional love! She just wants a human of her own to bond with and spend the rest of her life with.
Hermione gets along fantastically with other cats due to her passive, gentle nature, she would make a lovely companion for another young kitty needing a mate.
Hermione is an INDOOR ONLY CAT for life like all our rescue cats.
Medical notes
Hermione is a young adult and as such she requires a premium quality adult diet, we recommend royal canin, hills science diet, advance or the like, you can also incorporate a dry dental diet for plaque prevention.
Hermione is now fully recovered from her cat flu (herpesvirus) and is healthy however sometimes in times of stress "cat flu" can flare up and she may become sneezy and have watery eyes in her new home whilst she's settling in, Cat Lovers Ballarat will happily pay for any treatment she may need during her trial whilst she settles in!

Adoption details
Thank you for your interest in a rescue cat! They can make the most wonderful friends and family members.
Our rescue cats have varied histories and stories and as such they each require a different home environment, we ask prospective adopters a series of questions aimed at making the perfect match so please dont be offended when asked questions. We do not adopt to a first in first serve basis and only adopt to the most suitable home possible. If you are outside Ballarat we ask that you make time to have a 30 minute video-chat with us and the kitty you are interested in so we can get to know you a little better and you can see the kitty in its home environment before coming up to Ballarat to adopt, if you are local then we hold a meet and greet at the foster home of the kitty. We only offer video chats and meet and greets to the most suitable homes.
All of our cats at Cat Lovers Ballarat are rehomed as strictly INDOOR ONLY cats and we ask that all prospective adopters only apply if they are capable and comfortable with this.
Please have patience with us as we go through all applications and make our decisions to move onto phase 2 and offer meet and greets, this can take days and sometimes a week to go through, you will be contacted whether you are successful or not.
Thank you again for your interest in one of our rescue cats!
