Please note: Lola will be rehomed with an adult family and another active dog who shares her love of energetic play.
Lola has a lovely, playful puppy personality around people she feels safe with. Lola loves all dogs and always does her very best to encourage them to play with her. She has plenty of youthful energy and is the zoomie queen! Lola loves her toys and balls and will play with them for hours on end.
Lola is aware of her environment. She is not sensitive to noise, but is conscious of all the sounds around her. She doesn't like sudden banging, people on the other side of the door or being awoken by noises in the house unless it is her favourite people getting up in the morning before her.
Lola understand the commands to sit and wait. She loves going out and about and enjoys a good steady paced walk. She does pull a bit on lead and is learning to walk calmly beside her person.
Lola is looking for an adult home that has a clear pack leader who is willing to work with her. Her pack leader will need to know how to engage their whole family in Lola's life. All persons living at the home should participate in feeding, walks and play time with Lola to build bonds. Lola would like a family that would take her on long walks, hikes or trips away. She is great in the car so traveling will not be a concern at all. Lola needs an active family who are prepared to walk her or even run her a couple of times a day. Her people will be more present at home with her than not. Lola would do well if her family was interested in doing flyball or agility with her. It is important that Lola continue with her training - training in social settings to continue to help her practicing managing her emotions and being exposed to new people in a place that she will be confident in that is not the safety of her home. Lola is an excellent communicator and she responds well to training.
Lola is a beautiful girl who is progressing so well. She will be the most amazing companion for all of your life's adventures.
Please note: our dogs are not available for interstate adoption. We also do not adopt to people under the age of 25 years.

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped, wormed, and flea treated. All necessary vetwork such as dentals, surgery, eye treatment are also carried out. We are no longer heartworm testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer free assistance for six weeks for any issues, a lifetime takeback policy with full refund of the adoption fee, and will always be available to offer advice.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.

We look forward to receiving your application.

We appreciate our sponsors and all our donors so much, as without them we would not be able to save the pets we do, or run our programs that reach into the community to give a helping hand. Are you able to donate, sponsor or want to leave a bequest?
