About Sabrina & Salem Saberhagen
Happy Halloween! Spooky season is time for Cat Lover's adorable identical twins to shine!
Sabrina & Salem are our very shy but sweet twin girls (an easy way to tell them apart is Salem has a small scar on her nose). They will require a lot of T.L.C. and patience in their new home. Sadly, they have not had the best start, and both girls would be best suited to a quiet home as a busy household would be too overwhelming and stressful for them. It will take some time and effort for them to learn to trust. Of the two, Sabrina is more timid and shy; when she came into care, she had some health concerns, and much of her first human contact involved medicating her, so it has been difficult for her to bond with her foster carers. Sabrina was diagnosed with juvenile gingivitis, a painful inflammatory gum disease requiring her to have her teeth cleaned every six months at the vet; we understand this is a big commitment to take on and we will continue to offer our support.
Salem is more outgoing; she loves big cuddles and neck scratches, even dribbling when she's happy. Both girls are gaining confidence every day, and I will continue to update their profiles with their progress.
Sabrina and Salem have been in care for quite some time now, and we would love to see them find their forever home soon!
Medical notes
**INDOOR ONLY**
Sabrina & Salem are desexed, microchipped, and up to date with vaccinations and parasite preventatives.
Sabrina's condition will require regular, six-monthly teeth cleaning at the vet until she is two years old and a strictly premium dental diet.
Adoption details
Thank you for your interest in a rescue cat! They can make the most wonderful friends and family members.
Our rescue cats have varied histories and stories and as such they each require a different home environment, we ask prospective adopters a series of questions aimed at making the perfect match so please dont be offended when asked questions. We do not adopt to a first in first serve basis and only adopt to the most suitable home possible. If you are outside Ballarat we ask that you make time to have a 30 minute video-chat with us and the kitty you are interested in so we can get to know you a little better and you can see the kitty in its home environment before coming up to Ballarat to adopt, if you are local then we hold a meet and greet at the foster home of the kitty. We only offer video chats and meet and greets to the most suitable homes.
All of our cats at Cat Lovers Ballarat are rehomed as strictly INDOOR ONLY cats and we ask that all prospective adopters only apply if they are capable and comfortable with this.
Please have patience with us as we go through all applications and make our decisions to move onto phase 2 and offer meet and greets, this can take days and sometimes a week to go through, you will be contacted whether you are successful or not.
Thank you again for your interest in one of our rescue cats!
