About Kevin
Introducing Kevin, a very energetic Jack Russell x Mini Foxie born 26th March 2020.
Kevin is a sweet man who loves nothing more than spending time with people.
Kevin is quite reactive with other dogs at the facility, but seemed ok when we tested him with another smaller dog. When interacting with larger dogs his body language completely shifted and he became very stiff and snarly. Because of this we are recommending him to either be an only dog or go to a home with small dogs only. Due to his reaction to large dogs it is not recommend he be taken to off-leash dog areas such as dog parks & beaches.
While Kevin was non-reactive towards cats he has got a very high prey drive towards Russell our resident rooster. We believe that if a cat ran in front of him he will chase it. For this reason we recommend a home with no cats or pocket pets.
Kevin has shown severe signs of separation anxiety at the facility, so he will need a home where his owners are around all of the time. He was surrendered to us as he was an escape artist and she couldn't keep him contained in her yard.
Kevin is such a loving man and wants nothing more than a home he can call his own and not have to worry about losing another family.
If you think you could be that furever family for Kevin, please contact our friendly staff via email at ccacfpetadoptions@gmail.com or 0499 900 272 to organise a meet and greet.
Kevin’s adoption fee is $600, and this includes his desexing, vaccinations and lifetime registration. Kevin is also regularly treated for fleas and worms.
Kevin is currently located in East Maitland.
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
