Handsome 5-year-old Luka is a big lovable boy with the personality to match! Through no fault of his own, Luka is looking for a forever home where he can be included as part of the family.
Luka adores everyone he meets; he greets them with his big bark and crocodile smile and especially loves new people if they will have a game of soccer or frisbee with him! Luka is very affectionate with his humans and enjoys being brushed and getting all the pats and tummy rubs he desires. Luka can sometimes be a little clumsy and isn’t always aware of just how big he is, he may accidentally knock over small children when playing and is best suited to a home where everyone is over the age of 8 years old.
Luka knows his basic commands and walks well on lead; he is eager to please his people and enjoys learning new things. Luke has plenty of energy and would love to be involved in regular training sessions, he needs regular exercise and to be kept mentally stimulated. Luka loves to play and is motivated by both food and toys.
Luka has missed out on being socialised with other dogs when he was younger, he particularly doesn’t like small dogs or cats and will bark at them when he sees them. Luka needs an understanding owner who is willing to work on slowly exposing him to other dogs from a distance and practising remaining calm. For now, Luka must be the only dog in his new home and is would benefit from being walked in quieter areas whilst he builds his confidence. Luka is not suited to a home with cats or other small animals.
Luka has always been an outside dog, despite this, he craves being inside with his family and would do anything to be allowed inside, especially at night so that he can cuddle up to his humans. Luka would love nothing more than following you around the house, leaning into you for a scratch and a tummy rub at any opportunity and snoozing by your feet after the end a day full of playing.

Adoption details
We offer a 'Foster to Adopt' program. This means that the dog will go to live with their adoptive family for 4 weeks to ensure it is the perfect match for both the dog and new family. After the 4 weeks is complete, if all has gone well, the adoption is formalised and your new doggy companion is officially yours!
If you are interested in adopting from us, we ask that you fill out the Adoption Application form on our website (via the link provided below) with as much detail as possible, including the name of the dog you are interested in.
We do not rehome female dogs to a home where there is an existing female dog. Whilst there are always exceptions, it is generally unwise to have two females together; two males can sort it out, a male and a female can sort it out, but when two females fight, the results can be disastrous. For this reason, following the advice from numerous Veterinary behaviourists, as well as our own experience from the last eight years, we do not rehome females into homes with other female dogs.
All of our dogs are de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated
Puppies (2 months to 4 months) - $1000
Puppies (4 to 6 months) - $800
Adolescents (6 months to 1 year) - $700
Mature (1 year to 6 years) - $600
Senior (7 years plus) - $350
