About Chunky (was Chunkenstein
Are you looking for your next housemate? Chunkenstein's got you covered!
Eager to greet you at the door with his happy grin, this pleasantly plump feline loves attention, cuddles, and giving kisses - there's so much to love!
Chunkenstein (the chunkiest boy ever) clearly has a little extra baggage on deck, he is basically a level 25 food thief and con artist. Once, he got fed by nearly every volunteer in the shelter because he had convinced them all that he hadn't been fed that day. He acts like a starving banshee even though he's already eaten, he is a closet eater as its finest.
He thoroughly enjoys taking treats gently out of your hand, is litter trained, and has a playful, yet calm personality.
Ready to scoop up this lovable hunk of chunk?! If you'd like to meet this handsome, huggable boi, please apply via his adoption profile below.
PS: Yes, Chunkenstein is morbidly obese and does have some mild hip dysplasia that is not affecting his mobility. As cute as he is, his extra chunk is not great for his heath so this voluptuous boy is on a special diet and kitty-bootcamp training regime to help get him trim, taut and terrific in time for beach season. His future family are recommended to keep his weight loss journey going and to include some joint supplements to his daily feeding regime.
LOCATION: FOSTER CARE **Application Process** If you are interested in this pet and ready to adopt now, please send in an application to the SCAR Adoption Team. On the Pet Rescue profile, push the "Enquire About This Pet" button. Follow the prompts to "send enquiry now" and in the message section please tell us all about you and your home. Ensure you tell us about anything specific that you feel makes you a great match for this particular pet, or if you have specific requirements for a pet coming in to your home. The information you provide helps us to start a conversation with potential adopters, and find a great match for pets in our care. Please note the following: We do not take applications for animals over the phone, as we are a small team and are trying our best to be fair to all applicants while creating the best outcomes for our animals. We aim to reply to all applications within 5 business days, and will confirm with all applicants once we have an adoption meet booked for the animal. All of our meet and greets occur at the adoption center in Craigieburn, and all going well you will take home your pet on the day of the meet. The majority of our animals are in a foster home, not at the shelter, so you need to apply via the website to meet them.
