About Colt
Introducing the handsome Colt. He is an English Pointer x Bull Arab born 14th April 2020.
Colt is a sweet young man who loves nothing more than spending time with people. He can get a bit boisterous and jumpy at times, so a home with older children would be beneficial for him so he can’t accidentally knock little ones over.
Colt was reactive when being introduced to other dogs. Once given the chance to settle, he was very playful with female dogs. Colt & Filly came in to us together and we would love for them to go to a home together, however we understand that they are both big goofballs and would separate them for the right home. If you have another female dog at home we will need to do a meet & greet with him to ensure they get along before going home.
Colt was completely unfazed by cats & pocket pets. He was more interested in human interaction than the kittens trying to attack him. If you have cats or pocket pets at home we recommend a slow & controlled introduction to ensure a happy relationship.
Colt is such a loving man and wants nothing more than a home he can call his own and not have to worry about losing another family.
If you think you could be that furever family for Colt, please contact our friendly staff via email at ccacfpetadoptions@gmail.com or 0499 900 272 to organise a meet and greet.
Colt’s adoption fee is $200, and this includes his desexing, vaccinations and lifetime registration. Colt is also regularly treated for fleas and worms.
Colt is currently located in East Maitland.
Medical notes
Colt is blind in his left eye. We believe this is a birth defect and doesn't hinder or bother him in any way
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
