About Olive
🫒 Little Olive 🫒
Olive is approximately 4 months old. While timid at first, she’s highly intelligent with bags of personality - playful, inquisitive and very entertaining.
She can be wary of strangers, so needs a calm, quiet household with no children under the age of 12. It’s likely that she’ll be ok with other animals as long as they’re gentle and docile and she can be the one in charge!
Although she’s not keen on being picked up, Olive just LOVES being stroked when she’s relaxing or falling asleep and will purr loudly all the while.
She’ll play with you for hours with anything dangly, but her absolute favourite toy (and arch nemesis) is her current foster dad’s backscratcher; in fact she loves this so much that her carers will let her take it with her to her next home.
Olive’s next favourite pastime is watching tv - she particular likes Rick Stein cookery programs, reindeers (no, really!) and You Tube cat tv. Her other hobbies include exploring every inch of her environment (note: she’s prone to getting locked in cupboards due to her explorations!), doing zoomies, lying in ambush waiting to pounce on her sister and munching on Fussy Cat Crunchers Chicken treats.
All of our cats and kittens are desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated before going to their forever homes.

Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A Property check will take place via a video call (due to Covid restrictions). Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals for adoption are kept up to date with vet work until the date of adoption. The pet will be rehomed desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
