Kyoto is three animals in one. A dog, Kangaroo (loves to jump) and a lizard (loves to lick). She is extremely affectionate and loves a cuddle with her human friends and snuggling up to her best friend zeke ( 2 year old bull arab dog).
Kyoto has been a great addition to the household in foster care. She loves to chase the birds around in the backyard, let the neighbours know shes outside with a loud bark ( for such a small dog) and loves jumping all over zeke - the resident dog. She has an extremely playful personality and loves to go on walks. She is still getting used to different environments in the big wide world, she just needs someone to be patient with her.
Kyoto is well mannered, semi-house trained and understands the basics: sit, wait, on your bed, and knows when she's being cheeky and getting told off, she runs far away from the problem, trying to hide. She will need ongoing training, as she is still a puppy and holds puppy traits and behaviour. She isnt completely toilet trained, and does piddle inside overnight, but is a fast learner and I have no doubt she will pick up good behaviour very quickly. She also can get quite anxious initially when being left alone, but soon settles in.
She loves to instigate play time with her foster brother and jump around ontop of one another, play tug of war and then have a nice nap after.
She is a happy girl and happy in the presence of humans, big and small - but as mentioned she loves to jump. She is full of beans, so will need to be corrected and trained accordingly.
Kyoto has been sleeping inside and spending the majority of her time inside with the family, but has also managed to enjoy her time spent outside if she has a nice warm cosy bed, lots of toys and a secure yard.
While in foster care she hasn't been tested around any babies/or other animals, but i do think that because she is a puppy and only 6 months old, with consistent training, she will suit any active, engaging environment.
