Eli

It goes without saying - Eli is a looker.

He has deep red colouring and such a handsome face.

Eli arrived in care very stressed from being in a shelter. He quickly settled in and revealed his true nature.

He is an affectionate dog. He has gotten along with the dogs he has met in care. He does like to be in charge, but is not overly dominant. At first he was protective of his food but is improving.

He is the perfect house guest - toilet trained, calm, can be sent to his bed. Although he'd prefer be on the couch or the bed with you, he'll hop off and stay off if asked!

He is also cat friendly - he's smart and lets them call the shots 🤣

In the backyard he is settled. It's when he is out and about that he can get overwhelmed. When very stressed, he will pant heavily, sometimes bark and not focus.

In the car, initially he would bark constantly, but this has improved considerably and is expected to resolve with more practice and car rides to fun places!

He would be happy as a homebody and live a quiet life involving walks in peaceful places and people to spend time with. He has basic training, likes to chase a ball and catches treats in the air.

He requires a patient, experienced home who can extend his thresholds so he can relax in new situations and thrive. Time invested in his training will deliver rewards.
