About Hakea
Hi, I'm Hakea,
I came into Waggin Tails care as part of a large litter that was not planned.
I have been in my home for a few weeks now, I love spending my day playing with my brother running around the yard playing with our toys. I sleep in a crate at night and sleep through the night.
I am currently living with an adult male staffy, who I love playing with and also 2 cats. They don’t like me as much but I’m good leaving them alone when they tell me off. I would love a home with another dog to play with.
I think I am a lap dog and love to come up for a cuddle in your lap.
I have been around children from ages 10-15 and I love running around and playing with them.
I am still young and still chew things as I'm a baby, but I have lots of toys to keep me happy and am learning the difference between them. I would benefit greatly from puppy school as I'm still learning how to grow up into a great dog.
I am very food motivated!
I don't like being an only dog so a home with a doggy sibling is a must!

Adoption details
Our adoption process consists of:
- An adoption application questionnaire that will be emailed upon an enquiry if we deem your enquiry is suitable for that particular animal. Please read the description of our animals before making an enquiry.
- A meet and greet to ensure yourself and any existing animals are suitable for your chosen furry friend
- A house check to ensure your property is suitable. This my include physically coming to your house, a video call or photos.
- An adoption agreement to sign upon being approved for adoption. This includes a two week trial period to allow your new pet to settle into their new home.
- Please note we are purely volunteer run so sometimes it may take up to 7 business days for the team to get back to your enquiry and we will only contact you if we believe your enquiry is suitable.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
