About Jelly
Our darling 2 year old Jelly is the sweetest treat, with the most gorgeous
white patch on her snoot and white toe socks and the longest, happiest
whippy windmill tail.
Jelly is a ninja, she's a bowerbird, she's a museum curator of oddities. If
you can't find your car keys, check her bed! She'll have stolen them for a
snuggle. Bless, you can't be mad at our little treasure, because Jelly
brings joy wherever she goes, she embodies happiness and love.
Cuddles are mandatory, Jelly will seek you out for snuggles. She loves to
love and will gently push her head into your lap or legs to ask for a full
body scritch. Our sweetheart won't let a day go by without showing you just
how much she loves you.
As Jelly is a younger girl, she has a little more go than your average couch
potato. She's an excellent adventure companion and travels well in the car.
Jelly has met and positively interacted with calm, small dogs and gets on
well with her fellow greyhound kin. Currently in foster care with another
greyhound, Teddy - she is chattering at the prospect of a home with another
greyhound with similar energy levels and whilst not essential, a backyard to
romp around in. Two walks a day is all our lovely lady needs, Jelly walks
nicely on the lead and doesn't pull. She patiently waits for her brother to
check his weemails.
Jelly is a Hound-Tees Workplace Foster, which means she gets to hang out at
the coolest dog apparel factory, with the kindest people and other
greyhounds. She would love a new home where she gets to accompany her humans
to work, or where her humans are home more often than not.
Conscious about the environment (instilled by her time at Hound-Tees HQ),
her style of enrichment is ripping up the recycling, so you don't have to.
Jelly is a smart girl and would benefit from daily enrichment activities to
keep her noodle noggin happy. She'll also never say no to a soft toy and
will have you in stitches!
Jelly loves her human so much that when she goes out, she's not quite sure
what to do with herself but seeks solace in a snoot companion and a schedule
of mentally stimulating tasks, such as breaking down the recycling and
working out how to get treatos out of a Kong.
This sweet beetle is ready to take up residence in your home and heart. .
No cats or small dogs
No full time workers unless some working from home
No children under six

Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, they can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour. Yes, they may "grow out" of it after a few weeks in their new home, but why put the dog through that stress to ultimately live all day alone, while everyone is at work? As a result we do not rehome dogs into households where they are left on their own for more than 4 hours per day, without either people or another dog for company.
During the COVID crisis, not all of our rescued Greyhounds will have the usual socialisation with other dogs so we may advise to use a muzzle in some situations until the dog is fully socialised.

Following your initial application, we conduct a home check. Our dogs are placed on a two week trial. The adoption fee is paid at time of placement and reimbursed if the trial is unsuccessful.
After the trial period is deemed successful, the adoption process is finalised.
