About Genome and Sansa
Genome was one of 70 guinea pigs rescued from a property. She arrived at the shelter as only a young girl, but carrying a very special surprise. Her single daughter, Sansa, was born on the 9.9.22. Genome did not know much about being a mother, and so she was transferred to the "maternity ward" where Aggie was staying, with a daughter that was born just two days prior. Although Aggie came from a different pound, they had both had a hard start to life, and neither had a great supply of milk. So it was lucky they only had one baby each, and were able to help each other nurse the pups. Genome took a while, but now has taken well to motherhood and raised a very healthy and happy daughter. Although she still carries the traumas of the past, with lots and lots of gentle handling and love, she will come to know people for kindness. She is still very fearful. Sansa on the other hand, has grown up with nothing but love, and although we're not supposed to have favourites... well... she'd be staying if I could fit another piggy in permanently!! She is so so gorgeous, and sweet, and just perfect in every way.
