Maggie is up for adoption 💗

Maggie is a very special senior lady with a kitten spirit who will need a very special kind of home.

She was trapped in Woodville community garden with an almost ruptured eye. Underneath her matted and discoloured fur she was skeletal, indicating years of neglect and fight for survival. As it turns out, Maggie is around 10 years old and while she may have had human contact early in her life, she had likely been displaced or abandoned some years ago.

Having spent most of her life fending for herself on the mean streets comes with its own kind of health challenges but the right medical care paired with tasty, nutritious food has gotten her body and health to a point where she finally began to show her cute, quirky personality.

Maggie loves home life, she’s an independent lady who loves nothing more than a sunny spot to curl up in, chasing her foster brothers around and “Gremlin time” which is when she swirls and flips around chasing her tail and seemingly hunting invisible ghosts. Even something as simple as a scrunched up ball of paper is like party time for Maggie!

Since overcoming her challenging health issues she has found a new sense of self, she has many moments of joyful reverie every day and it’s truly delightful to watch given everything she has been through.

Maggie will thrive in a calmer environment, where she can express herself on her own time, ideally with other cats to hang out with as being around other cats really brings out the best in her. She will require a lot of patience as she’s still learning that people can be actually kinda good, after so many years of hardship.

She’s come such a long way in accepting safety and comfort as the best thing that’s ever happened to her, she deserves the best possible retirement in a place to call her own.
