About Ordu
They say good things come in small packages and Ordu is no exception!!
At just 2.1kg, Ordu is a very tiny dog, but he has a bright and bubbly personality. He is the happiest little dog around and he is always looking at you, wagging his adorable little tail. Ordu’s happiness is infectious and everyone that meets him loves him, whether they are small dog people or not. He is happy to meet new people and loves to get all the pats and attention. He returns the love with lots of licks and kisses. It’s very enjoyable to pat/stroke Ordu as he has this amazingly thick, soft coat but that does mean he sheds. He is a great little buddy to sit on the couch with and he is happy to curl up in a nice blanket or have snuggles in your lap.
You can have lots of fun with this little dog. Ordu enjoys chasing a ball and will have a good game of tug of war with you, or another small doggy friend. He also loves to learn new things and is super willing to please, especially if there is food involved. While in foster care, Ordu has learned to sit for his treat, drop (lay down), shake, spin in both directions and touch with his nose. He would love to learn more tricks if you are willing to teach him.
Ordu really enjoys the company of another friendly dog and loves to curl up in a bed with the other little dog in his foster home. He will need a home with another dog who is happy to let him curl up with them and looking for a companion rather than a playmate. Ordu is social and friendly with dogs but will bark at other dogs he sees or hears when out on walks. He wouldn’t attack another dog but would run up and bark in their face. This could get him in trouble with another dog who didn’t appreciate this behaviour, so it is something that needs work. Ordu is responding well to training and is distracted with treats when he is tempted to bark. There is no barking when you don’t pass neighbourhood dogs barking or see another dog, so walking in quieter areas and/or a quieter time of day is most ideal. He is not hugely active but gets very excited to go out and enjoys his walks.
We are looking for an experienced and committed home for Ordu where he will be an inside dog and part of the family. He will need a doggy friend who is stable and already trained so the focus can be on progressing him to be the best dog he can be. Ordu may require some fine tuning on his toilet training when settling into his new home, but he does progress quickly. He is crate trained and sleeps there at night in his foster carer’s bedroom; however, he loves to have a snuggle in the bed with you. Ordu travels well in the car, particularly if he can curl up with his doggy friend and would be fine to live with a cat who will not pick on him (he’s a little scared of the one in his foster home!). We are looking for an adult only home, but he is friendly with children so its ok if they visit and are able to be respectful of him.
If you are interested in adding this wonderful little dog to your home, then please complete a Dog Adoption Enquiry Form on the Fetching Dogs website as the first step and please include information about your current dog and previous training experience.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
