Barcus Aurelius is a distinguished gentleman, he once said to me “Very little is needed to make a happy life; it is all within yourself, and with your companion dog.”

Barcus Aurelius is in the peak of his life, wise beyonf his years, he is beyond all the silly shenanigans of pup life. He enjoys spending time outside, rotating in the sun, and sitting in the succulent patch. He is not phased by his pawrents leaving for work each day, and upon our return he will greet us with a big, wiggly bum, and a gift in his mouth - usually whatever he can find, even sometimes just a leaf.

Barcus Aurelius loves to be brushed and doted on by mostly all humans. If you’re seated, he will lay his head on your lap and snuggle in, in hopes you’ll give his neck scratches. If you’re standing, he flops himself onto the ground and will lay on his back for belly rubs. He only has about 3 minutes of zoomies a day, at this point.

In Barcus Aureliuses previous life, it is apparent that he spent the majority of time alone, and with little exposure to the outside world. Due to this, he is not socialized with other animals, and exhibits reactivity when on walks. The Good Hound company have been working with us to overcome this hurdle, and Barcus Aureliuses carer can already see great improvement in such a short time - He is walking fabulously with a head halti, a game changer for any large and in charge dog.

Barcus Aurelius’ new owner will have to be committed to continue this training and desensitization so he can be the best boy. He is not suited to a house with other pets, and older children / teens, if any.
