About Mouse
PLEASE READ THE FULL PROFILE BEFORE APPLYING
Mickey Mouse (or Mouse) to his friends is a super cute three year old mini fox terrier x Jack Russell who is looking for a loving forever home.
Weighing in at just under 5kgs, Mouse is a little dynamo. He loves to play with tennis balls and squeaky toys- often they are bigger than he is but that doesn’t stop his fun. He is very active and loves daily walks. Mouse is great on a lead and even carries it in his mouth to remind his carers it’s time for a walk. He also travels well in a car, strapped in safely with his doggy seatbelt.
Sadly prior to being rescued Mouse was mistreated by a male. Understandably he was very timid and scared when he arrived but he is gaining confidence daily. He adores his foster mum and he is her shadow. He is wary when meeting new people but once he realises they are friendly and won’t harm him, he soon warms up.
Mickey Mouse has been in foster care with a range of dogs of differing sizes and gets along well with all of them. Mouse would love a friendly female dog sister as he absolutely loves to play. He is the master of zoomies and loves when the other dogs join in. He is NOT suitable for a home with cats.
Mouse would honestly sit on his person’s knee all day if that was possible. He is making up for all the love he missed out on in his previous home and loves to give you “kisses”. Mouse does tend to get underfoot as he is so eager to be with you so this is something that his new family must be mindful of.
From time to time he still gets scared so he needs an owner who will provide a lot of love and reassurance to help grow his confidence. A social and well adjusted doggy sister will help immensely with this.
It is a joy watching Mouse thrive and he is looking for forever people who will include him in their everyday life and love him unconditionally.
He is not suitable for a home with children 24/7 as he can be startled by loud noises. He should be fine with dog savvy kids who visit though.
As Mouse was kept as an outside only dog he isn’t house trained however he is learning quickly.
Please only apply for our precious little man if you are fully committed to loving and caring for him for his whole life.
