About Boris
Boris is a STUNNING merle boy who was born in our care after his mum was rescued off a large property with multiple other dogs. He is quite a reserved pup with an independent nature. Great with people big and small. He's had a lot of real world exposure in the city so is used to traffic, noises and other urban environments. Boris is happy to chill on his bed and doesn't seek attention from his humans.
Boris would thrive with a family interested in a dog that will be included in all aspects of their lives, he will need wongoing training be a wee pup and his future might include something fun like agility, scent work or some other fun sport.
Boris' mum is a Koolie Mix and his father is unknown. Boris currently weighs 8kgs and we believe he will grow to be a meduim size dog.
MY IDEAL HOME: I would be best suited in a calm but active home, with or without children and a single or multi-dog home. I would be best suited with owners who have experience with working breeds, specifically farm dogs, and someone who has a soft nature. I'm not the sort of dog that needs a firm handler - quite the opposite and thrive with positive and gentle direction.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I'm an energetic pup that will have high daily exercise requirements as I grow into a dog. A simple walk around the block or a run at the dog park is not quite enough for this working boy.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Being young and well socialised, I would be okay sharing a home with kids.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I have grown up in a home with my sibling, mum and resident boxer! I am well socialised with other dogs and have met cats with no issue.
*As I am young, I will need to return to Maggie's Rescue's allocated vet for my last vaccination and desexing at an agreed time.

Please use these links rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
