Bandit - 6 Month Old Kelpie X(On Trial 5/11/22)

Bandit is a handsome, friendly and very energetic 6 month old kelpie cross. He is a gorgeous boy who loves everyone and everything.

Bandit came into care after his owner wasn't able to keep him in rental accommodation. Since coming into care, Bandit has been living with an older dog, who is keeping him in line, and a cat, who is also teaching him manners. He hasn't been tested with chickens or pocket pets.

Bandit loves the dog park; he adores running around and playing with an equally exuberant dog. At home, Bandit is a chewer, he loves his kong toys and sticks. He likes chewing balls but does not seem interested in chasing them.

Bandit would love to go somewhere with lots of space where he could run around. His love for everyone means that he might not be suitable for small children as he might knock them over in his rush to say hello. He is a bit of a jumper but he's getting better with that. He travels nicely in the car and loves going for a walk to get coffee and treats in the coffee shop.

Bandit is a cross of two of the smartest dog breeds around, with the kelpie and the border collie combining to produce a whip smart dog. He would probably excel in a structured training environment. Bandit needs secure fencing.

Bandit is in foster care in the Newcastle, NSW area. They are not currently available for interstate adoption. The adoption fee is $600.00 and they are desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped.

PLEASE NOTE: Dog Rescue Newcastle provides individual listings with specific requirements for each foster dog. If you submit an application or inquiry and DO NOT receive a response within 5 business days, please understand that you have not met the specific requirements for this dog. Please do not be disheartened or discouraged, this simply means you were not a suitable match at this time.

This organisation's adoption policy is moderate. What does this mean?

(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire: https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
(2) If the questionnaire is approved we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) After that we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home, nearby park or your home.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
