Teddington is a beautiful soft, curly coated Border Collie with strong herding and nurturing instincts.

Gentle with people and children (in an only dog situation).
Teddington walks well on the lead and is learning to be comfortable in a halti.

Teddington is strong willed and dominant in the home so his household will need to be either:-

A. Only dog house
B. A household where dogs are not anxious and the owner is prepared to be disciplined in keeping Teddington in line so he doesn't stake his dominance early.

In care Teddington has shown that he has no fear of larger dogs and he will endeavour to keep them in line for you. This can get messy so it's important he be shown where his work should be.

Around his food bowl he is hyper alert so in care with multiple other dogs he is fed separately and learning to be calm watching them eat. When in line receiving treats with other dogs he waits his turn presumably because he has a sitting job to do.

Whichever family is lucky to welcome Teddington into their home will receive a personal, in-home training session with https://www.thegoodhoundcompany.com.au/. It will be important for Teddington's success in life that discipline and training are followed from the beginning.

Teddington loves to be involved in whatever is going on. He would be great as an agility dog or a running buddy (from 12 mths).

Teddington has a penchant for ceramic or stone items, loves a game of chasey or chase the ball.

We had a sickly puppy in foster care with him and he turned into Nurse Teddington immediately and wouldn't leave it's side.

PS Teddington sheds. A lot!
