About Stryda
Meet Stryda!
Stryda is a female Harlequin Dane x Mastiff who is approx 2 years old. This sweet girl came into care with her babies and after a quick trip to the vet, is ready to live a happy puppy free life! Stryda has come from a very loving home and is looking for somebody to give her the love and attention she craves.
This lovely big girl will need some further training as she is quite strong and doesnt always like to do as asked...but she is a keen learner! A home with older children is best. Stryda has shown to be food motivated so this will come in handy with further training. She is not house trained so this is something to be aware of when applying. She travels fairly well in the SMART Van when transported for vet appointments with minimal complains (she did sook for a few minutes but then settled for the rest of the trip) Stryda pulls when being walked so a harness/halti may be a better option when walking.
Stryda has shown to be good with meeting other dogs but can be quite playful with them and due to her size, would be best suited to a home with another dog her own size as she may unintentionally hurt someone smaller. A meet and greet is recommended. Stryda is not cat friendly so a home with no cats/chickens/bunnies/small animals is best.
Stryda is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, worm and flea treated and Vet checked.

Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
