Speckles

Speckles is now seeking her forever home.
This gorgeous little girl is a Jack Russell Terrier x weighing in at only 7.5 kilos
At just 10 months old she will stay a small dog at full growth

Are you an active person and need a running training partner or an active BFF small partner ?
Then Speckles is your girl !
She's fun and she's active and would love a home with older mature children who can lay and burn her energy or an active couple who love to walk and or run.

This girl loves to play with anything and everything. She is always entertaining herself with something which is so amusing to watch.
She is still very much still going through her puppy faze which means nothing is safe!
She loves chasing the kids around the house and backyard and playing tug o war.
She is very child friendly but she can be jumpy and mouthy, she would be best suited to a home with mature children with dog experience.
You will find her lounging in the sun or rolling in the dirt when the sun is out.
Speckie loves human food, she is very cheeky when we are eating and will try and steal your food if your not careful

Favourite things.
These include toys, shoes, human food, walkies, yummy treats, cuddles and belly rubs when she's settled, she also loves zoomies around the back yard and chasing and catching flies.

Interactions with humans.
Little miss Speckle is well aware of stranger danger, she sometimes will growl at new people who come to the house and she does take a while to warm up. Patience is needed when introducing her to new people. We have found that little Speckles warms up very quickly to a soft voice and a new person who has treats in their hands lol
Obedience and training.
Speckles will require more training but has mastered the sit command and walks pretty well on lead.
She still requires work with her toilet training but is improving if taken out often enough and given indoor outdoor access,
Animal social skills.
We have not tested her with cats so we have no idea.
We have tested her with dogs and she is not intimidated by bigger dogs but will be slightly cautious until she deems them " Friendly" She was happy to interact with a larger very gentle dog and seems that she could live with another dog or be single . If another dog is in residence we would be seeking a gentle male who is very well socialized with other dogs and not rough in play or greetings with others.
Food
Speckles eats ivory coat puppy food, I feed her twice a day. She will eat any human you offer her and of course loves her treats.
Independence
Speckles is fine to be left at home outside alone as long as she has things to entertain herself with
During colders days we have been leaving her indoors in a large crate for short periods
Bathing and hygiene.
Speckie handles a bath quite well.
Sleeping.
Speckie sleeps on the couch or in her bed. I'm sure she wouldn't say no to sleeping in a human bed!
She usually sleeps from about 10pm till 6.30 - 7am.
Exercise.
Speckles will require lots of exercise and stimulation as she's an active little girl with loads of energy to burn
Se feel a young and energetic family with older mature age children or an active younger couple are a good match for her
Inside the home.
Speckie does have cheeky habits of stealing toys and shoes that aren't hers they will sometimes end up being nicely chewed if not supervised
Ideal Home
A good size yard with secure fences and shade and shelter to play
She's still a young puppy with lots of puppy traits and lots of learning to do but is a lovable sweet girl who will make a great companion
A home that can keep her stimulated
A home with mature age children that will play with her ( she can be a little mouthy when excited so older children are our preferred)
A home that are prepared to continue her training and exercise her
