NOTE: You are unable to meet Mikki until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Mikki in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.


What I need in my new home:
• BREED KNOWLEDGE IS PREFERRED
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A submissive dog is the best housemate for me, however I'm not very interactive with other dogs. But, I LOVE LOVE LOVE people, so I'm just as happy being an only dog getting all of your love and attention for myself
• I arrived at the shelter as a stray so my history is unknown. Due to this, my interaction with cats that are free roaming in the house or yard is completely unknown. There can be no guarantee that I will be ok living with cats, so it is recommended that I don't go to a home that has them. This also applied to chickens and rabbits/guinea pigs.
• I like both friendly male and female dogs
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• As my history is unknown and I'm a very bouncy girl when I'm excited, it's recommended that I don't go to a home with small children as I may accidentally knock them over. Old children who will be involved in my training should be ok.
• Being an active breed I have a lot of energy so an active family is a must!

Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Small children due to being mouthy & bouncy

My best features:
• Very playful
• Wiggle butt
• Highly food motivated
• Gentle & placid
• I have had some basic obedience training and am a generally well-mannered dog
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• Social butterfly
• Exuberant & full of beans

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I can sit on command, however I will require further basic training to ensure I can be the best dog I can be.
• I can be a little bit erratic on the lead, especially when I'm excited but taking me on daily walk should help to slow down and enjoy myself.
