About Michael
Hi I’m Michael, My siblings and I came into care after we were found dumped on the side of a rural road. Can you imagine that!? Something as sweet and cute as me dumped and left to fend for myself! None of that matters now though because thanks to the team at BVAR, I've had all my essential vet work done and I will have the best shot at a beautiful life!
I am a super chill boy who is eager to please. I would do well in a home by myself, provided I get lots of social interactions with other dogs and am provided with plenty of stimulation so I don’t get bored. I would also love a home with another doggy friend for me to play with. I love playing fetch and chasing balls around the yard.
I adore children and love nothing more than running, playing and cuddling with them. I can be a bit jumpy at first, but I promise I’m learning how to contain my excitement. I am very loyal to my humans if you are sitting down, I enjoy just being near you. I’ll happily lay down at your feet or sneak my way onto your lap for snuggles.
I have been around cats and they don’t seem to bother me at all, I would be okay around other animals given proper introductions and supervision at the start. I have also been around chickens and ducks, however if they run, I run, so will need to be supervised around them.
I am doing extremely well with my basic training, I know how to sit and learning wait for my food. I am still quite young so will need to have this continued in my new home so I can keep learning and increase my skills. I am also doing extremely well with my lead training.
I have been crate trained at night but also fine to be outside provided I have a nice warm bed away from the cold wind. I have been doing well with my toileting, but I am still new to spending time inside so I may have accidents.
I will grow up to be a very big boy, so any potential forever homes must consider my size, and whether their home and lifestyle can accommodate me.
