About Sawyer
Introducing Sawyer, who is a 5 month old Kelpie x pup ready to find his forever home.
Sawyer is such an affectionate and clever pup, he loves a cuddle and is super eager to please. He really enjoys snuggling and belly rubs. Sawyer is a typical kelpie bundle of energy! He really loves to run and play with his foster doggie siblings. When out and about on adventures, he loves to meet new people and other dogs too.
Although Sawyer can sometimes be a little over exuberant and excited, he is working on his manners and training. He can sit and drop, and is working on his stays and improving everyday with his lead walks. He is crate trained and sleeps quietly there all night. This smart guy has also been easy to toilet train. Sawyer has been awesome at the off lead dog park and his recall improves each day.
Sawyer would suit either an only dog home, or a home with another dog that likes to play and wrestle. He has been tested with cats and though excited being a pup he was quite gentle. Sawyer would suit a rural or suburban home as long as he is taken on his daily walks and provided with daily mental and physical stimulation due to being a working breed puppy.
If you think Sawyer sounds like the boy for you, please apply now!
Sawyer is located in VIC.
Medical notes
Sawyer's third eyelid was swollen and present when he came into care. This has been assessed at the vet and treated with drops. It isn't causing him pain or impacting on him. The vet believes it may be Horners syndrome which could improve on its own.
Adoption details
To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at http://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-form/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. A meet and greet can be arranged if both parties wish to proceed, and we also offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
