About Barney
Barney is a handsome young man who's signature move is to flop down in front of you and demand a belly rub!
He can take a minute to warm up to new situations but once he does his playful side emerges and he is hard to resist.
MY IDEAL HOME: I would prefer a home on the quieter side, loud or unusual noises can give me a fright but once I've had time to adjust my curiosity gets the best of me.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I am more lively in the mornings and evenings, but love taking afternoon naps. I like lying at your feet or on the bed and enjoy being in human company without being too needy.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I haven't met any children but I am a gentle soul and I'm sure gentle children I would happily befriend.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I like other cats! I haven't met a dog yet.

Please use these links rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
