About Riley
Riley is looking for a new start with the right family where he can fit in perfectly and have his special needs overlooked.
A sweet and friendly boy, we are sure once he settles into a secure and safe environment his personality will just shine! We would love to see Riley be able to bond with a new family and become the best doggo that he can be!
Riley would suit an only dog home, or one with another friendly pooch. Riley would prefer a home with no feline friends.
Riley weighs in at just over 16kg and is on the smaller side of a medium-sized dog.
Riley will be adopted into his new family desexed, microchipped and up to date with vaccinations, heartworm prevention, worming and flea treatments.
Medical notes
Riley has had a Salivary Gland procedure called a Sialoadenectomy, to remove an abscessed salivary gland. A common risk of this type of surgical procedure is facial paralysis, which Riley is experiencing on one side of his face. This has resulted in the inability to blink, resulting in his eye needing to be surgically removed for his comfort and long term management of his condition.
Riley has to be one of the bravest boys in the rescue world, and he has recovered from his procedures beautifully.
We are more than happy to discuss further with interested families.

We encourage Meet & Greets with your prospective new Best Friend!
Interstate or outside of our region adoptions; We can facilitate FaceTime Meet & Greets and discuss how successful adoptions can be when they are 'Sight Unseen' or where you haven't met the animal in person prior to committing to bringing them home.
The adoption process is as simple as booking in a Meet & Greet appointment and we can go from there! Our adoption process is simplified and straight forward, and we love working with adoptive families to find their Purr fect match!
Pet Transport for getting your new adoptive pet home;
If you are unable to travel to us to meet your new best friend you are welcome to get in touch with Road Based Pet Transport Companies to see if this is a viable option for you.
Specifically for our rescue, the pet transport company must be able to collect the pet directly from our location as we are currently unable to meet transport at other locations.
