Hi, my name is Abikeh and I'm looking for a home to call my own.
I currently live with my foster parents and 3 kids aged 16, 10 and 4 years that I love.
I also live with 2 resident dogs that are 7 years old.
They are my best friends and they have taught me so much, like how to use a doggy door and that you shouldn't chew the garden hose or try to pull washing off the line because you get in trouble. They share their bed with me too which is really nice. So I don't want to go to a home where I'm going to be all by myself. I need a friend to spend the day and play with while you're out and about.
The kids are super cool and I love them to bits. They are great for pats, cuddles and slip me food here and there when mum isn't watching.
Speaking of food, I must tell you. I already know to sit for my food. Mum say's I'm so clever. I try to use that trick when she's in the kitchen getting dinner but it doesn't work. She says I have to "wait". That's the other thing I've learned, oh...well... learning. When the humans open the door, we're not allowed to run straight in the house. They say "wait". When they say "OK", then it's time I can run in. Sometimes I'm too excited and can't contain myself, but I try.
I'm crate trained. Look, don't get me wrong, I won't voluntarily go in there (I often sneak under the dinner table and hope Mum doesn't see me) but I will sleep in there overnight without a peep. Although occasionally I wet the bed. I'm trying really hard at this toilet training business but geez it's hard. Mum is helping me along by letting me out for lots of breaks, so that's good.
I should let you know, I haven't met a cat yet. So I don't know if I will be a friend or foe to one of those.
Because I've only just got my second vaccination, I'm not very good at walking on a lead. Would you mind teaching me?
I realised when I had to go to the vet that busy roads are scary. It's so noisy!!
Up here in Wallan, it's pretty quite in the suburban streets, so I will need some help in overcoming the noise of those scary cars and trucks please.
Anyway, enough about me. I'd really like to hear about you.
I hope you enjoyed reading my profile.
Love Abikeh
