About Dusty
Please meet DUSTY, a Stumpy Tail Blue Cattle Dog with a huge zest for life! He will make a wonderful companion dog for almost any individual or family.
Dusty was born on 11 December 2021 and weighs about 25 kgs. He knows the usual commands and is obedient, and is usually very good on recall. He walks on a harness however some training is needed to get him to walk beside you. He still gets a bit excited from time to time and wants to get on with things!
Dusty is happy to play and explore in the yard under his own steam, but he comes to find his humans for a back scratch, head rub and back massage regularly. He enjoys being told he is a good boy - and he is!
Dusty loves car rides, especially if he gets to have his head out the window, and behaves well in the car. His food is varied and he isn't fussy. Bones are most welcome.
Dusty must have been born with a ball in his mouth - he loves to play fetch! He retrieves and then drops the ball at your feet which is great.
Dusty would happily spend the night cuddled up with his human in a household where that's allowed, but knows his manners and is obedient if it's not.
He gets on well with other dogs given a proper introduction, but is untested with cats since coming into care. He's good with children, but given his size would be unsuited for a household with toddlers.
If you are interested in meeting this lovely pup and can offer him a suitable, safe and loving forever home, PLEASE COMPLETE THE ONLINE ADOPTION APPLICATION at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ and one of our volunteers will be in touch.
Dusty's adoption fee is $450 and he is desexed, chipped and vaccinated.
He is available for interstate adoption.
Medical notes
Dusty was sterilised on 16 August 2022.
