Oh hello everyone! My name is Lily, I'm 4yrs old and although I might look like a big fluffy cloud, I am actually a young Maremma on the lookout for my furever home. Could you be my pawfect match?

If you have met a Maremma or similar breed, you will know exactly what to expect! I am a pretty cool pup with typical livestock guardian breed nature so I am looking for someone who knows this well! Of course due to my breed I do also need an environment to suit me so let me tell you what this looks like!

I am best suited to a mature household with no children under the age of 12 because I can get overwhelmed at times especially in a new environment and need my family to be understanding of when to give me some space and "me time". I would be best suited to a home that has a routine and structure with out to much unpredictable activity. I may prefer being outside in your backyard, but the staff have noted I am lovely and calm for short periods too. Although I do like to spend time with my humans it needs to be on my terms to start with. Once I get to know you then I will feel at lot more at ease.

One thing I dream about each night is having a secure decent sized yard for me to run, play, snooze, and explore! I have taken quite a liking to squeaky plush toys but they always seem to explode on me?! Not sure how...

Out on a walk I would really enjoy using my brain to sniff around and find treats. Whilst at shelter I have been good with other dogs however I can be a bit selective, and would need a friend suitable matched to my temperament on size. It would be best if you had an understanding of my breed traits to ensure I grow up to be the best big "fluff" ball for you.
