About Cassidy
Hi All, My name is Cassidy, I know I am described as a Bull Terrier (on my microchip paperwork)...but actually I am much bigger than that, I am more like a Bull Arab. I am a desexed female and I am quite a stunning dog. My big eyes melt the coldest of hearts.
I have been at the shelter for a while and the staff all love me very much. I am reasonably quiet in my kennel for the majority of time, I keep my bedding neat during the day which means if all my needs are met I am not likely to be destructive.
Sometimes I walk calmly on lead and other times I may be a bit excited. I would love it if you engaged in some one on one training sessions to get the best directions to help me with this. I will need some patience, do things slow, so I don't get uncomfortable and bouncy and then I am much better when we understand each other.
You can help by using lots of treats and enrichment toys such as kongs, boxes and lick mat, so please supply them during the day if you are going out for a few hours to keep me occupied.
As I am a large girl I will need a back yard and I will need plenty of exercise such as two short walks or one long one. Maybe a long walk before you head off to work so I can sleep and chew my enrichment during the day (would be most ideal).
I have lived in shelter life since December 2021 so would love for you to consider me for your family. I am showing lots of promise with toy play and retrieve so we could definitely do that to start with some relationship bonding.
I have great potential on lots of things, but first I will need you to be patient with me as I adjust to out of shelter life.
