Mickey / Diesel

A dog of two names... introducing Mickey! Whose friends now call him Diesel!

Mickey aka Diesel is a big handsome goofball that is affectionate and wants nothing more than to please his humans. Never saying no to a pat, he is loving, super friendly and will seek out human contact!

Diesel has exceptional manners, he knows how to sit before being fed, drop when the lead is being attached and go to his bed at bed time. He is toilet trained and sleeps soundly through the night, he requires access to inside as he enjoys being close to his humans. He is happy outside in a shaded garden during the day but will seek a cool spot to chill inside if his humans are home.

Diesel would like to be included in his human's adventures and activities, he is sensitive, playful and loyal. He enjoys playing fetch, will bring the ball back and is fond of his soft toys. This boy has a gentle temperament and is dog social, although sometimes can be clumsy and forget his size. Car rides are a favourite and he will sit nicely on the back seat sniffing out of a window. Ideally enjoying a couple of walks a day, he is curious and loves to explore the bush, park or swim at the beach. He is a fast learner and is improving on a lead, he has a tendency to pull and tug when he sees another dog. He is learning that not every dog wants to play with him!

This beautiful boy will need a human that can continue consistent lead training and manage a strong inquisitive doggo. Diesel will bark appropriately if strangers walk pass the home, he is an intuitive protector of his humans. Diesel would do well with his humans working part time or home intermittently throughout the day. A secure yard is also required for when you're away. He is a smart boy that yearns companionship, love and mental stimulation. He could easily live with another dog similar size or smaller, but has not so far been cat tested. Diesel absolutely loves children and even though he does not jump up he can be awkward and ungainly. He would be suitable in a family with children over 8 that were dog savvy and supervised by adults to foster a respectful relationship. He could also live with a couple or a single person that could give him the attention he needs.
