I've been adopted!
About Cheeky - 15 week old Kelpie x(On Trial 5/11/22)
Do you like slippery dips? I do! I do!
My hoo-mans are super impressed because I hadn’t seen anyone use the slippery dip, I figured it out myself. I tried going up the ramp side to start with, but I soon figured out it’s easier to go up the steps and fun to slide down the ramp!
My name is Cheeky and I’m a 15 week old kelpie x staffy. My foster paw-ents tell me I’m smart, well-mannered and a quick learner. I already know come, sit and stay, and I’m getting the hang of heel.
My foster-mum wants me to tell you that I am good with my lead and harness, and on car trips. She is really impressed with how focused I am when we go for a walk, I rarely get distracted even by other dogs barking (the yummy treats she gives me definitely help!).
My toilet training is going really well, I rarely wee inside. My siblings and I sleep in our pen in the lounge room, our foster paw-ents are nearby, but we let them sleep the WHOLE night, which they seem really happy about.
During the day, my 2 puppy siblings and I chill in our pen or head outside, for zoomies and to lay in the sun. Sometimes we get a bit muddy, but I don’t mind my hoo-mans cleaning the mud off my feet. I’ve had a couple of baths now and they are OK, the best bits are the yummy treats, and the snuggles I get when I’m getting dried afterwards.
I get along well with my 2-legged and 4-legged foster siblings. The 4-legged ones don’t play the same way as us 3 puppies, but I’m learning how to play their way and am getting better at understanding when they’ve had enough.
I’ve met a few other dogs, mainly small ones, and got along well with them too.
One of my 4-legged foster siblings is teaching me how to track and herd flies, I’m getting pretty good at it! According to my hoo-mans, I’m agile and athletic, they think I would be a great companion for someone who likes activity and adventure.
I can be energetic and love learning new things, but I can also be a sleepy-head and very snuggly! I love a cuddle before bed, actually, I love a cuddle at any time of the day! I am just as happy running around as I am snuggled up with my hoo-mans.
I’d love to meet you and show you the love I have to give!
