I’m Ben.

I was shy and now I’m coming out of my shell because I’m happy and feel safe.

When I was born, Mum came backwards and forwards to feed me and my brothers and then she stopped coming when we got big enough. I followed my brothers to ask for food from a house but we never went in and we didn’t develop a liking for pats and cuddles in our early days. I was out in a trap alongside my brothers and we came into foster care in Beaumaris. I found everything super scary and I’d freak so that no one would touch me. Those days have gone. I’ve learned to hear the kindness in voices and appreciate the touch of caring hands.

Because of my colouring I should remain an indoors-only pet.

There’s kids everywhere at my foster home: I tend to prefer the older, calm ones as younger ones would scare me. I absolutely love getting the attention of the resident dog and I could also be a calm and submissive friend to an established cat in my forever home.

My favourite things are catching and walking around with hair tiers and chasing string. I love getting pats on the bit of grey at the top of my head and being stroked all the way down my body. I’ve started to sit next to my humans where they’re watching tv.

I don’t know if I’ll ever like being picked up, but I’m only young and improving all the time.

My foster Mum says it’s time for me to make my place in a forever home and that I’m ready to progress to new stages in affection and bonding with my forever people. She also says I’m beautifully litter trained and not a fussy eater.

Strictly indoor only (access to a shaded outdoor cat enclosure is fine).
