About Pepi - Located in Oak Park
Love Bug Pepi AKA Batman. **Please read medical notes before applying**
Pepi loves love. This big boy is not fazed by anything, he is simply seeking love and cuddles.
And does he love cuddles, he will give you as much as you can handle, but being extremely gentle.
He does not care if you already have fur friends, he is very respective of them, very passive.
Pepi loves to play, anything that flies, he is after, especially if it involves a cat tunnel.
He loves to look outside, so a perch in a cat tree would be great. However what he truly loves is being with his humans, he would sit for hours with you, add in a brush occasionally and he is in heaven (he rolls over for you so you get all the spots).
Pepi is an extremely loving cat that would love to be in a home where his humans are around and dotting on him.
Pepi has allergies, so he does have sniffles and sometimes does have sneezing fits.

Medical notes
Pepi has a chronically runny nose that has been unresponsive to medications. A CT scan and biopsies of the nose show no infections or cancer. But damage has been done to the canal from an infection he has suffered prior to coming into care. The official diagnosis is Chronic Neutrophillic and Lymphopladmacytic Rhinitis. Pepi will need help keeping his nose clean, which may include gently squirting saline up his nasal canals regularly.
Pepi is also FIV+
FIV+ cats live a normal life for many years and we cannot predict the life span of these cats. FIV positive cats sometimes have a scruffy coat and the condition can lead to chronic recurrent infections in the mouth, eye and skin. FIV cannot infect people, however it can infect other cats through bite wounds commonly from fights. FIV positive cats can co-exist with other cats that don't have FIV without issues.
We encourage that the cat is either an indoor cat or a confined cat - eg access to a cat run outdoors. We recommend regular vet visits (6 monthly) to monitor weight, coat changes, mouth etc.
