About Penny
Penny is a wonderful young dog who is loyal and very eager to please. She is loving and playful but is also quite independent.
When you've got your own things to do, Penny will happy occupy herself around the home. She will mostly snooze on her bed indoors but pop her head outside for a few laps of the garden to soak up some sunshine. Despite being a couch potato inside the home, Penny loves to get out for a decent daily walk. She may even make a good jogging partner.
Penny is very intelligent and has learned a whole lot of great things already. This clever pup is fully toilet trained, crate trained and walks well on a lead. She already knows to sit, stand, drop, stop, walk, gentle, bed, leave it and a range of other handy cues for focus and safety - which come in handy when she spots a magpie or kangaroo to chase. Not be mention, she's an expert at offering her paw - so you'd better work on your handshake! She picks things up quickly and thrives on mental stimulation. In fact, Penny is used to getting her meals via enrichment games like a snuffle mat or a wobble toy.
But this gorgeous girl isn't all about working hard. She likes to relax and have some fun too! Penny adores a good belly rub and has perfected the 'floor flop' to encourage you. She would happily join you for some TV time in the evenings too. Penny loves watching TV! She'll even cuddle you - well, sort of. Penny's idea of cuddling is resting her bottom against your leg, so she's the perfect cuddler for someone who doesn't enjoy dog slobber and being covered in dog hair.
Penny also loves bushwalking and playing fetch in the water. She is still learning her recall skill off-leash but is making great progress. Out and about on-leash, Penny can sometimes be a bit cautious of new things/situations and can be protective of her pack, but once again, she is a young dog still learning how to be her best self and will look to you to guide her with positivity and love.
Penny would be happy to live as a solo pet but would possibly get along well with an older male dog who was calm and sociable. This cheeky and loving girl would love a home with an owner who will continue to teach her how to be the world's best doggo. In return, she will entertain you with her box-shredding skills and give you her whole heart!

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s owner - the person who knows them best!
It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of the adoption fee.
The adoption fee is paid directly to PetRescue (via a secure payment link), and assists us to continue to run and develop programs to assist pet owners, just like Home2Home.
Change of Ownership paperwork will be completed, vetwork history will be provided and your new family member will be snuggled on your couch in no time!
