Meet Dakara!

Dakara is our beautiful Senegal parrot, who initially came in as a stray and is very keen to get to a loving home where she can have lots of fun. She is a very friendly parrot who requires a lot of affection from her humans. She will come out of her cage to explore for a couple hours a day and will need lots of toys and perches to keep her engaged.

Dakara is a very intelligent bird and will need a lovely large cage to house her big brain. Senegal parrots are notorious puzzle solvers - a common puzzle for many parrots of her breed is their cage lock (though she hasn't quite figured out our locks yet)!

She is hand tame and would likely pick up tricks very easily. Senegal parrots respond really well to training and being a young parrot, Dakara is at the perfect age to start her career as a trickSTAR. Prior bird experience (especially with Senegal's) is highly valued.
