About Diamond
Foster dad says Diamonds are a girls best friend, well, I'm everyone's best friend.
Hi there, my name is Diamond and I'm a 4 month old Maremma guardian dog ready to find a rural property to guard, with an older guardian dog to teach me.
The criteria for my new home is VERY strict, if you do not have a rural property with an older guardian dog who can train me, please move along and find another dog to adopt.
I would like to fulfill my ambition of being a proper flock guardian, can be chooks, sheep, cows, whatever you need protecting, then that's what we Maremma's excel at.
I broke my left rear leg when I was seven weeks old and was handed over to rescue who have paid to have me mended and have cared for me until I finished my healing and got 100 percent vet clearance to be adopted.
I have not been on a rural property but that is my breed destiny so my owners will need an older guardian dog to teach me and have excellent knowledge of our breed to make sure I don't turn into a house slouch.
I can walk very well on lead, I know all of the normal basic commands and my foster dad has made sure I am kept up to date with normal puppy training but as with all rural properties, I will need a lot of work to get to understand what you and your guardian dog needs from me.
You will need patience, breed experience and a lot of patience because I am a bit of a princess.
If you would like to have a Diamond on your farm, fill out the application questionnaire now and we could be walking the paddocks together before you know it.
Medical notes
Diamond was surrendered into care with a broken rear left leg. It has been pinned with her vet checking on her every seek. She has been given the all clear and fully recovered from her injury.
