On Hold
About Billy & Honey(On Hold 18/10/22)
Introducing Billy and Honey - 3 month old tan dachshund x kelpie puppies. These gorgeous pups found themselves in a regional pound so Dog Rescue Newcastle swooped in and brought them in to foster care. They've had a hard start being surrendered in a malnourished state, but their health is back on track.
These siblings may look similar but have very distinctive personalities
Billy (tan male), is the affectionate fun one. He loves cuddles, pats and playing.
Honey (tan female), is the energetic cheeky one. She loves exploring and playing.
They are both really fantastic pups. Still being toilet trained, and learning basic commands, but full of love, affection and energy.
Their ideal forever family will need to be home more often than not, especially during their younger months. They will need a lot of mental stimulation due to being working breed mix. We’re not sure how their physical energy will be with the dachshund in there.
They have been around a 13 year old grumpy old man dog, and 3 young children, and everyone is getting along brilliantly, so would be suitable for homes with kids of any age, and for homes with a resident dog.
They are being crate trained at night with very little issues. They are ready for adoption from Monday 17 October 2022.
For more information on these pups, please contact their foster carer Laura via email: laura.drn2304@gmail.com. They are in foster care in Mayfield, NSW (suburb of Newcastle).
Their adoption fee is $700 each which includes all up to date vet work. They are microchipped, vaccinated and treated for fleas and worms. Their adoption fee covers their desexing at 5/6 months.
If you are interested in adopting any of these pups please fill out the adoption application form here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt.
You can see all of our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
PLEASE NOTE: When applying for our dogs and puppies, please ensure to list the name of the dog you wish to adopt. Please do NOT just list the reference number or the microchip number as this will delay your application reaching the correct foster carer.
Medical notes
As they are not yet desexed, they are only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because they will need to be returned to a DRN approved vet for desexing when they are approximately 5/6 months old. Please NO out of area applications.
