About Nero
Nero is a handsome, young boy with a beautiful personality. He rarely barks (only when he gets very excited!) and will make a fantastic best mate for someone that is able to give him the time and attention he deserves.
He likes to roam around with his owner, explore his surroundings, and loves a good cuddle when nap time comes around. He also loves a chew on his favourite toys and is just learning to play fetch with a tennis ball.
He was very timid at the start but his sweet, bubbly, playful personality has started to come out.
Like all Maggie's animals Nero is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.
MY IDEAL HOME: Being fairly young, Nero needs a family where he is not left alone for long periods of time. He needs proper attention and someone with the time and space to develop a lifelong bond.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I would love a home with dog savvy children, possibly over the age of 8 as I do not want to knock anybody over when I get excited. That being said, have not had much exposure to children and will likely be a little apprehensive around them to start.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I'm a bit shy with other dogs and although I have been improving, I will need continued socialisation to be totally comfortable. I have not been around cats but am a pretty gentle nature so might be okay but I can say that I am 'bird' friendly' having made friends with the a local pigeon who visits the apartment.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I am more suited for owners that have a yard for me to run around in, or someone that is able to take me out for a walk quite often as I have loads of energy to burn off!

For Dogs: https://form.jotform.co/80677377750872
Please use these links rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
