✨🐣 EASTER ADOPTION FEE SPECIAL 🐣✨
🖤🎀 MEET DEVON 🎀🖤
Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur, happy kitty, sleepy kitty, purr purr purr! Fun fact: That song was written about me. The writers from The Big Bang Theory walked past me one day and, well, the rest is history!
For those of you who don't know me yet, my name is Devon and I was found living with my brothers and sisters in a cat colony. I know what you must be thinking; what is a gorgeous little love bug doing out on the mean streets of Perth? Well, thankfully I wasn't out there for long before I was whisked away to safety by the Angels. I am now on the hunt for my fur-ever family, my soul mates, and my best friends. So, if you think you might be the one, let's dig a little deeper!
Nature
I'm a very quirky little character and full of fun from my head down to my floofy bean toes. I am forever exploring, playing, and doing what itty bitty kitties do best. Despite the fact I am overflowing with confidence when I am around my furry friends, I am still very much a nervous nelly when it comes to hoomans.
Before I came into care, I hadn't had any interaction with earthlings, which is why I am still cautious of them. I have come a long way since my early days in care but it is really important to understand that I may never want to be touched, held or cuddled by a human. The only time I allow my Foster Mama to touch me is when she is feeding me one of those yummy Dine creamy treats. Other than that, I have no interest in being touched so I will not be suited to a family that is wanting a cuddly cat. However, what I can offer you is a beautiful, sweet-natured, gentle and low-maintenance little lady who will make you smile every single day.
Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
I'm a huge fan of other kitties. HUGE. The more cats around me to play the day away with the better! The only cats I know who might love other felines more than myself are my foster brothers; Benny and Salem. I've been on this overwhelming and, at times, frightening, journey with them since the beginning and I worship the ground they walk on. I would be the happiest girl in the world if I could be adopted with one (or both!) of them. We depend on each other for comfort and support and would settle into our new home much quicker if we had each other. My Foster Mama said if this isn't possible then I will be just fine so long as there is a kind, confident and cat-friendly kitty who will take me under their wing and love me.
I've never met doggos before but so long as they are cat-friendly and placid around me I'm sure we will be able to co-exist peacefully.
I haven't met children before either but my Foster Mama thinks I would do better with the older, less noisy kind who will be gentle and respect my boundaries.
Likes / Dislikes
My main love in life, aside from my foster brothers and sisters, is food. My Foster Mama says she has never met anyone as greedy as me. I wouldn't say 'greed' was the right word though, I simply just have a strong passion for it.
I'm very much a free-bird when it comes to my humans. I'm always in the background playing with my friends, or snoozing on the sofa, but when food is on offer I am there. I am there with bells on! I become my pawrent's best friend and will compliment them on how pretty they look until they feed me.
My other favourite things in life are exploring, playing, cuddling up with my furr-iends and making cosy little nests to snooze the day away. I also enjoy cleaning my award-winning coat (yes, it is as soft as it looks!), sunbathing in the outdoor enclosure and following the hoomans around to remind them I haven't eaten in 20 minutes and am on the brink of starvation.
As mentioned previously, whilst I am confident in many ways, I'm still uncertain of people and, even after two years, will not let my pawrents touch me unless there is food involved. My cat colony upbringing means there is a very good chance I will never accept pats or love from humans, but I show love in other ways and have one of the cutest and most docile purr-sonalities my Foster Mama has ever seen.
My PURR-fect home would be with a kind and loving family who want me for more than just my beautiful looks. I may never be a cuddly cat, or a cat that wants to be touched, but I have such a gentle and sweet nature and deserve to have a family to call my own; one who will love me for the rest of my life.
Perth Rescue Angels recommends all cats are indoor only, unless they have access to a secure cat enclosure.
