- Meet Precious Nina -

We are looking for an extra special home for our sweet girl Nina where she can gain confidence and build up her trust with humans.

When Nina first meets new people her tail goes between her legs and she lowers herself to the ground, however once you have her trust she literally throws herself at you for a cuddle and rolls over onto her back for a belly rub.

It can take Nina some time to reach that point with people and we would love to see her go to a home with a single person or a couple who can devote lots of their time to this beautiful girl to teach her that there are kind people in the world.

A pound environment is a hard place to spend your days waiting for your new home for all dogs but Nina in particular is struggling. She is such a timid girl that she finds it extra hard to be around all the noise. Nina is scared of so many things like the noise her kennel door makes when you close it and even the noise from a squeaky toy.

Other pets: Nina isn’t overly worried by other dogs when she meets them. She can give a little grumble at times if they get in her bubble but is very happy to stand next to another dog or walk with them. Because Nina is so timid and unsure we believe that is reflected in how she is around other dogs and in time she will learn to be more playful. You can see at times Nina wants to play but then panics and grumbles at a dog instead. It’s her go to coping method when she feels overwhelmed.

Nina is equally as cautions with cats. When she walked into our cattery she was so overwhelmed she literally started shaking. Nina would probably be ok with a cat that sticks to themselves and wouldn’t bother her too much, however at this stage in her journey we would recommend her new home has no other pets so Nina can feel all the love.

Type of household: Due to Nina’s timid nature we don’t recommend a home with children as she does scare easily. Nina would blossom in a home environment where she will be showered with love and given the time she needs to adjust.

Nina’s adoption fee covers: Microchipping, desexing, lifetime registration, current vaccination, flea & worming treatment.
